Cerro Las Ranas—“The Hill of Frogs”—is more than just a name. It’s a place of extraordinary coffee, named after the serene lagoon teeming with thousands of frogs that sits within the lush landscapes of Apaneca, Ahuachapán, El Salvador.

Behind this exceptional coffee is JASAL, a family-owned operation led by José Antonio Salaverría and his sons, who have built their reputation on precision, passion, and an uncompromising commitment to quality. From meticulous, year-round farm management to rigorous quality control in the cupping lab, every step is guided by their deep expertise and dedication to excellence.

The magic of Cerro Las Ranas lies in its Pulped Natural (Honey) process—a method that enhances the coffee’s natural sweetness and complexity. Only perfectly ripened cherries are hand-selected, pulped, and carefully dried with their sticky-sweet mucilage intact. As they rest on clay patios under the sun, skilled hands constantly turn the beans, ensuring slow, even drying for a beautifully balanced cup.

The result? A coffee that’s rich, layered, and unforgettable—just like the land it comes from.
