The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is a massive part of Africa covering 2.345 million km2, its capital is Kinshasa.
 
The Congo River system is derived from the tropical climate and this has made the DRC an absolute garden which is called the Congo Rainforest and is the second largest rainforest in the world. The Congo River basin has an area of nearly 1 million km2 and the Kivu River (also known as the Ruzizi) is a major tributary of the Congo River.
 
Our Congo Kivu has a delightful, slightly spicy aroma with slight hints of the fecund soil in which it is grown, in the cup it has hints of cocoa and dried orchard fruits. We roast this coffee as though it were a Kenya, giving it a full-medium roast depth which brings out the richness and the velvet in the flavour.
